Practical, research‑informed projects that strengthen community capacity, build clarity and confidence for educators, and support purposeful professional growth across settings.
As a Community Interest Company, we are always seeking ways to develop projects that benefit practice. One of the main outputs through this is our growing library of freely available toolkits.
Evidence-informed Toolkits

This collection of evidence‑informed toolkits has been developed to give educators, practitioners and leaders clear, accessible guidance they can use straight away in classrooms, settings, leadership conversations and curriculum design. Each toolkit is shaped by the principle that practice should be informed by research, and research should also be shaped by practice, ensuring every resource is grounded in both evidence and the lived realities of diverse educational contexts.
Drawing on published research, practitioner wisdom and the close‑to‑practice enquiries and CPD work Bekah has led across a wide range of settings, these toolkits reflect a commitment to making high‑quality professional knowledge open, practical and genuinely useful. All resources are freely available, supporting equitable access to evidence‑informed development for every practitioner and leader.
All toolkits are freely available, ensuring that high‑quality, evidence‑informed professional knowledge is accessible to every practitioner and leader.
These toolkits are shaped by the belief that research only makes a difference when it becomes meaningful to practitioners. Over the years, we have experienced episodes where translating research into practice has felt both abstract and disconnected from the culture of the setting. Each toolkit has grown directly from either close‑to‑practice research Bekah has carried out with schools, or from the CPD and professional learning she has designed for teachers and leaders.
They bring together evidence, practitioner insight and real-world classroom experience to create tools that support implementation, not just understanding. The frameworks, routines, and reflective prompts are designed to help settings move from noticing an interesting initiative to understanding what this could look like for their context with both clarity and confidence. They aim to bridge the gap between theory and practice.
Our aim is to make research feel practical, accessible and empowering, while still holding onto the depth and integrity of the ideas that underpin it. These toolkits are here to strengthen professional thinking, support purposeful action, and build a stronger sense of agency across your setting.
Bekah is constantly developing new toolkits. If you would like to find out when a new toolkit has been published, please sign up here.
This toolkit was developed as part of my Reimagining Outdoor Learning research project, funded by Nottingham Trent University. It explores how outdoor learning can be used to strengthen children’s sense of agency, belonging, and connection with the natural world.
Drawing on close‑to‑practice research, the toolkit offers practical frameworks, reflective prompts, and adaptable activities that help teachers design outdoor learning experiences with purpose and clarity. It supports practitioners to move beyond simply taking learning outside and towards creating environments where children can think, explore, and act with greater autonomy.
The toolkit is designed to be usable straight away, while still grounded in the depth of the research that shaped it. It can be used to spark professional dialogue, guide planning, or support whole‑school approaches to outdoor learning.

If you’d like to explore this work further or embed it across your setting, I offer bespoke CPD and training linked to the toolkit and its underpinning research.
